Qbox Gallery was founded in 2005 and is a curatorial dealership whose intention is to strengthen local ties and to promote contemporary artists on an international level. Its premises in the heart of Athens (in the Central Food Market) function as a platform for young and emerging artists and curators. In the summer of 2007, the gallery inaugurated the Qbox Residency Program on the island of Kea, which is tailored to artists as well as to art critics and curators. The gallery offers room and board, a studio and a solo exhibition at Qbox gallery in Athens at the culmination of the residency.
Founder and director of Qbox gallery is Myrtia Nikolakopoulou.
