Qbox Gallery is pleased to present the first solo show of Michail Pirgelis in Greece. He received a Masterclass at Kunstakademie Düsseldorf under Prof. Rosemarie Trockel and has been the recipient of the Audi Art Award for ‘New Positions’ (Art Cologne, 2010), the Schloss Ringenberg Grant (2010), the Adolf Loos-Preis of Van den Valentyn Foundation (Cologne, 2008) and Villa Romana Award (Florence, 2007).

Qbox Gallery will present the second solo exhibition in Greece of the video artist Ali Kazma. In collaboration with the Benaki Museum a discussion will be held between the artist and Paolo Colombo. Kazma has exhibited internationally including 2012 Sao Paulo Biennial; Istanbul Biennial - 2001, 2007, 2011; 9th Havana Biennial; 2007 Lyon Biennial; Tokyo Opera City; Platform Garanti, Istanbul and The Smithsonian Hirschhorn Museum, Washington, D.C. in 2012.

Qbox Gallery presents the third solo show of Eleni Panouklia. The installation Apomonopticon is an architectural system of accessible and non-accessible cells. It is an experiential interactive work which mainly operates with the sensation of sound and light. Panouklia has participated in the 2nd Mardin Biennale 2012; Berlin Athina Caid in Athens 2010; 2nd Thessaloniki Biennale 2009; Preview Berlin 2008; Contemporary Istanbul 2007 among others.

Qbox Gallery presents the first solo show of Luba Lukova. Her works are in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Library of Congress, Washington, DC; and Bibliotheque Nationale de France among others. Lukova has received commissions for her work from The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Time, Adobe Systems, Sony Music, Harvard University and the Cultural Ministry of France.

Qbox gallery announces Daniel Barroca’s first solo exhibition in Greece. Daniel Barroca spent one month on the island of Kea as a resident artist. The artist presents four videos that result from the process of cutting and dismantling the original ‘narrative’ structure of the film in his aim to find a different point of view over the old original footage.
